Chulu West Peak Climbing

Chulu West Peak Climbing

Overview And Highlights Book This Trip

Chulu West Peak climb offers beautiful Himalayan views Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu as well as the entire Annapurna region with lush valleys and beautiful landscape. The panorama even stretches beyond the Himalayas across the plains of Tibet (China) to the north.

Chulu West was first climbed in 1952 by a Japanese Expedition. The peak offers a challenge for any climbers and is truly an adventure. The normal route to approach the peak is via North-West ridge. It will take a total of three days to climb the peak and be back at Base Camp.

Our journey to Chulu West begins with a trek up from Bhulbhule towards Manang valley, one of the highest valleys of the world situated at an altitude of 5000m. We will acclimatize in  Manang Valley exploring the colorful culture of Manangis.

There is no real technical difficulty in reaching the summit but progress can be slow depending on snow conditions. This climbing expedition is suitable to both experienced and novice climbers who wish to summit and experience a Himalayan peak.

Nepal Environmental Treks & Expedition organizes the climbing of Chulu West during September-October and February-April seasons. Our expert mountaineers and Sherpas will accompany in this beautiful journey to the Himalayas.
